Women's basketball falls in NEAC opener to St. Elizabeth

MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped its road contest, 80-58, to the College of Saint Elizabeth in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Division opener on Tuesday evening.

The Nittany Lions had three players reach double figures in scoring, led by Deanna Daddona with 19 points after shooting 8-for-11 at the free throw line. Sam Brensinger and Sam Huggins each scored career-highs with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Huggins notched the first double-double of her young career after pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds. Daddona also recorded four boards, three assists, and three steals, while Brensinger had four assists, two rebounds, and two steals.

Dakota Dawson, who chipped in four points, had six rebounds, followed by Bre Schmidt with a season-high six boards. Elise Paskowski and Britt Weiss both added four points and combined on seven rebounds.

Jasmine Poole led the Eagles with a contest-high 22 points, followed by Danesha Triplett with 17. Deja Ingram pulled down a game-high 13 boards.

The Nittany Lions will host Gallaudet University in a NEAC contest on Saturday, December 3 at 1 p.m. Admission to the contest is free of charge with a canned good/non-perishable item/monetary donation at the door.
