Men's soccer falls to Wells in OT

AURORA, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team was again dealt a tough blow after suffering a 1-0 setback in overtime to Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions drop to 6-9 overall and 6-4 in the NEAC, while Wells improves to 9-3-2 on the season and 7-2-1 in the conference.

The lone goal of contest came on a converted penalty kick by Benjamen Schanbacher in the 93rd minute.

Dan Zhmurkin and Cole Mays both put three shots on goal, while Bryan Franco had two on target, but none were able to find the back of the net.

Gerardo Sosa made seven saves in net for the Nittany Lions, while his counterpart Owen May made nine stops.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a NEAC contest at the College of Saint Elizabeth on Saturday, October 22 at 2 p.m.
