Women's tennis cruises past Keuka

Box Score READING, PA (April 12, 2015) - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team defeated Keuka College, 8-1, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Sunday at Gring's Mill Tennis Courts.

The Nittany Lions (3-9, 2-1 NEAC) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead through doubles play. Nandita Munindra and Lexi Vidal (No. 1) and Cassidy Schultz and Liz Kurtz (No. 3) were both 8-3 winners in their respective matches. Megan Antosy and Erin Ginther pulled out an 8-3 victory in the second doubles slot.

Munindra opened up No. 1 singles with a quick 6-2 win in the first set before outlasting her opponent for a 7-5 clincher in the second set. Antosy picked up a straight set win at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-4), while Marje Robinson had a win at No. 4 singles (6-3, 6-0). Schultz won 6-0, 6-1 at fifth singles and Ginther was a 6-1, 7-5 winner in the sixth flight.

The Nittany Lions will travel to the College of Saint Elizabeth for a NEAC contest on Tuesday, April 14 at 3:30 p.m.
