Men's basketball falls to Wildcats

MARCY, N.Y. (February 14, 2015) - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team were hampered by poor shooting in its 73-52 setback to SUNY Polytechnic Institute in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

The loss gives the Nittany Lions a 6-9 record in the conference and thanks to a loss by Penn State Abington they are still tied for third place in the standings with three games remaining.

The Nittany, who poured in 100 points in a win this past Wednesday, were held to just 26 points in both halves. For the game, Berks shot 32.2% from the floor and made only three 3-pointers.

Dameon Nixon had a team-high 14 points to go along wiht his six rebounds and three assists. Baba Waples added nine points, followed by Christian Burggraf with eight. Michael Aldridge recorded seven points and five rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will travel to SUNY Cobleskill for a NEAC contest on Sunday, February 15 at 2 p.m.
