Men's basketball drops road contest to Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team fell on the road, 115-75, to Division II Kutztown University in a non-conference contest on Saturday evening at Keystone Arena.

Dameon Nixon matched a season-high 21 to lead all scorers after shooting 7-of-12 from the field on connecting on all three of his attempts from beyond the arc. The senior guard also recorded five assists and three steals. Christian Burggraf knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 16 to go along with his four assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Burggraf currently sits at 911 career points, while Nixon has racked up 899 career points, which ranks them third and fourth all-time in program history.

Nelson Hine and Baba Waples each chipped in nine points, while Nygel Belizaire and Trevor Ford both added seven.

Josh Johnson led the Golden Bears with 19 points and eight boards, while Ryan Connelly recorded 17 points. Ethan Ridgeway came off the bench for nine points and 12 assists.

The Nittany Lions will return to action with a NEAC contest at Penn College on Tuesday, January 5 at 5 p.m.
