Men's soccer falls on the road to Wildcats

UTICA, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team saw its three-game win streak snapped in a 3-0 setback to SUNY Polytechnic in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Friday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (8-8-1, 6-5 NEAC) still have the opportunity to clinch a spot in the postseason with a win on Saturday afternoon at SUNY Cobleskill.

The Wildcats jumped ahead 1-0 with a goal on a penalty kick in the 19th minute and tacked on another goal in the first half at the 38:53 mark. They finished off their scoring with a tally in the 81st minute.

Kyle Baker made one save, while Gerardo Sosa had a season-high seven saves in net for the Nittany Lions.

Berks will travel to SUNY Cobleskill for the final game of the season on Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m.
