WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 11, 2015) - The Penn State Berks women's soccer had three players score multiple goals en route to an 8-0 shutout over Gallaudet University in a Sunday afternoon's North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest at Hoy Field.

The Nittany Lions, who reached double-digit win totals for the fourth straight year and sixth time in seven years, improve to 10-1-2 on the season and 8-0 in conference play. The shutout was the eighth one of the season.

Kaylie Smucker recorded a season-high three goals to finish tied with Dana Sarcinello for the team-high. Sarcinello, who entered the week tied for most assists in the nation, added three more today to raise her season total to 13. Freshman forward Caitlin Golden added two goals and an assist, while Lizzie Mummau and Ellie McKinstry each recorded an assist.

Berks outshot the Bison (2-12, 1-8 NEAC) by a 42-2 margin (21-0 on goal) and held a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks.

The Nittany Lions will enjoy a 10-day layoff when they do not play again until they host the University of Scranton in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, October 21 at 7 p.m. In that contest, the Nittany Lions will be hosting a Pink Game fundraiser to support the Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks.
