Men's basketball falls to Penn Tech

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (January 28, 2015) - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team suffered an 80-68 setback to Pennsylvania College of Technology in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Wednesday night.

The Nittany Lions trailed 37-28 at halftime and were down by as many as 21 points throughout the second half, before going on a run that cut the deficit to 66-58 with a little over six minutes left in regulation. But that is as close as the Wildcats would allow the game to get as they went on a 14-10 run to close out the game.

Christian Burggraf recorded a contest-high 23 points on 10-of-22 shooting from the floor. The junior guard increased his team-high scoring average to 17.3 points per game, which is the fifth highest in the conference. In addition, Burggraf recorded seven rebounds and three steals.

Dameon Nixon chipped in 13 points and had a season-high nine assists. Baba Waples and Nelson Hine each chipped in nine points, while Michael Aldridge had eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.

The Wildcats had five players reach double-figures in scoring, led by Thomas Ross with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Nathaniel Brown added 13 points and Cass Wisniewski chipped in 12.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Wilson College for a NEAC contest on Saturday, January 31 at 3 p.m.
