Nittany Lions top Gallaudet in NEAC contest

READING, PA (September 21, 2014) - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team continued its run through the conference, this time around it was a 14-0 victory over visiting Gallaudet University on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improved to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the NEAC, while the Bison fall to 1-7 on the season and 0-5 in the conference.

Jen Kessler opened up the scoring with a deflection off of a corner kick by Brennan Moyer just 80 seconds into the contest. Kessler scored another goal in the fifth minute, added another in the 79th minute and recorded an assist on Allison Wilson's first goal of the season.

Ellie McKinstry and Chrissy Smith each netted two goals and an assist. Overall, nine players recorded one goal. Taylor Schwartz and Dana Sarcinello each handed out two assists.

Savannah Cramer and Zoe Fletcher, with the help of the defense, recorded their second straight shutout and fifth of the season. Cramer finished the match with one save.

The Nittany Lions will host Albright College in a non-conference contest on Tuesday, September 23 at 3:30 p.m.
