Men's soccer falls to Lancaster Bible

READING, PA (September 15, 2014) - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team allowed four second half goals which led to a 5-2 loss to Lancaster Bible College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Monday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions jumped out to a 1-0 lead when T.J. Yurkovic crossed a pass that led to an easy goal for Anthony Kidron in the 27th minute. That lead would not last very long, as Berks allowed the tying goal just one minute and 38 seconds later.

The game remained deadlocked at 1-all until Ivan Correa added a pair of goals seperated by just five minutes early in the second half. Yurkovic sliced the deficit to 3-2 with a line drive over the keeper's head and into the far back corner of the net. The Chargers put things away with goals in the 75th and 81st minutes.

Kyle Baker was tested all game long and finished with a career-high 14 saves, which is tied for the program-record in most saves in a game.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a non-conference contest at Moravian College on Wednesday, September 17 at 4 p.m.
