Women's tennis takes down Lancaster Bible

Box Score LITITZ, PA (April 9, 2014) - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team defeated Lancaster Bible College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Tuesday afternoon at the Linden Hall Courts. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions jumped out to an early lead after going 2-1 in doubles action. Crystal Hitz and Nandita Munindra were 8-2 winners at No. 1 doubles, while Angie Koval and Cassidy Schultz won 8-2 in the second spot.

In singles action, Hitz won her top singles bout by a 6-1, 6-2 score. Munindra grabbed a 6-2, 6-2 victory out of the second flight, while Koval had a thrilling 2-6, 6-2, 14-12 triumph at third singles. Erin Ginther grabbed a 6-1, 6-1 win out of the No. 4 position and Schultz won 6-0, 6-0 at the fifth spot.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a conference tilt against Keuka College on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m.
