Women's tennis cruises to win over Saint Elizabeth

Box Score READING, PA (April 15, 2014) - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team downed the College of Saint Elizabeth, 9-0, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Tuesday afternoon at Hillcrest Racquet Club. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions picked up an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles by Crystal Hitz and Nandita Munindra, while Erin Ginther and Florence Kurtz also swept. Berks received a win at third doubles via forfeit.

Angie Koval pulled off a comeback win at No. 1 singles. She dropped the first set 2-6, then won the second set 6-2 and finished off the victory with a 10-6 decision in the super tiebreaker. Cassidy Schultz (No. 2), Ivana Davis (No. 3), and Pam Lambrukos (No. 4) all won by set scores of 6-0, 6-0.

The Nittany Lions will finish off the regular season on Saturday, April 19 when they host Cazenovia College at 1 p.m.
