Women's b-ball fall on the road to Cazenovia



CAZENOVIA, N.Y. (February 7, 2014) – The Penn State Berks women's basketball team suffered an 84-73 setback on the road to Cazenovia College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Friday evening.

The Nittany Lions led 38-35 at the intermission, but the Wildcats offense came to life in the second half by outscoring Berks 49-35.

Khadijah Robinson notched a double-double with 22 points and a career-high 20 rebounds. The freshman forward recorded nine of those rebounds on the offensive end of the court. Shanelle Koch also had a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards. Keisha Robinson added 14 points, seven rebounds, six steals, and four assists. Cassidy Schultz scored in double figures for the fourth straight game with her 10 point performance.

The Wildcats had five players finish in double digits for scoring, led by Erin O'Malley with 17. Haley Zambito had 15 points, while Rachael McDonough added 14. Megan Plahanski and Kimberly Virgian each netted 13 points. Mary Salo led Cazenovia with 16 rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will host Penn State Abington in a NEAC contest on Tuesday, February 11 at 8 p.m. The women's team will join the men's team in hosting a Pink Game fundraiser in that game.
