Women's basketball falls to Penn Tech

READING, PA (December 12, 2014) - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped its final game before winter break, 84-57, against Penn College of Technology in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Friday evening at Beaver Community Center.

Shanelle Koch turned in another strong performance with her third consecutive double-double and fourth of the season. The junior guard poured in 32 points, which is tied for the third most in program history and her 12 field goals made were tied for fifth all-time. Koch was 8-of-9 at the free throw line to raise her season-average to 80.4 percent per game. She recorded 10 rebounds, including three on the offensive end of the floor. For the season, Koch is averaging 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

Khadijah Robinson had a team-high 11 rebounds, while adding six points, three assists, two blocked shots, and two steals. Jaslyn Silva chipped in seven points, four rebounds, and three steals. Cassidy Schultz handed out a career-high six assists.

The Wildcats shot just 4-of-15 from the foul line, but that was a non-factor since they were a blistering 10-for-19 on 3-pointers. Alicia Ross, who was 5-for-8 from long distance, had a team high 23 points and eight assists. Charese Bova had 20 points and a game-high 21 rebounds, while Hannah Schoenly had 12 points and nine boards.

The Nittany Lions will return to action with a NEAC contest at home against the College of Saint Elizabeth on Thursday, January 8 at 7 p.m.
