Nittany Lions finish weekend 3-1



ABINGTON, PA (October 4, 2014) - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team finished off the weekend with a 3-1 record in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contests after defeating Bryn Athyn College and Penn State Abington on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improved their overall record to 11-6 overall and 7-2 in the NEAC. Berks opened the afternoon with a 3-1 win over Bryn Athyn College (19-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-15) and followed it up with a sweep over host Abington (25-15, 25-19, 25-12).

In the two contests, Sophia Zhang and Cassidy Schultz combined for 25 kills, while Heleanna Davison added 12. Jordan Heath dished out 69 assists and Megan DeAbreu recorded 28 digs.

The Nittany Lions will return to action with a non-conference contest at Albright College on Monday, October 6 at 7 p.m.
