Women's basketball drops road contest to St. Elizabeth

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (December 4, 2013) - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team lost by a score of 85-68 to the College of Saint Elizabeth in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Wednesday evening.

The Nittany Lions jumped out to an early lead and were tied 33-all with a little over four minutes remaining in the opening half, before the Screaming Eagles 14-0 run to gain a comfortable cushion. Berks rallied in the second half and a 3-pointer by Kellie Wilson with 16:53 remaining made it a 49-48 deficit, but that is as close as the Nittany Lions would get the rest of the way.

Shanelle Koch led the Nittany Lions with a season-high 22 points, while pulling down eight rebounds and handing out three assists. Wilson followed with 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor, followed by Keisha Robinson with 10 points.

The Screaming Eagles, who had four players score in double-figures, were led Kelly O'Dell's triple-double of 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. O'Dell also recorded five steals. Danesha Triplett added 22 points and 10 boards, while Ashley Pledger notched a game-high 24 points.

The Nittany Lions will host Morrisville State College on Friday, December 6 at 8 p.m. in Beaver Community Center.
