Women's volleyball blanked by Susquehanna



READING, PA (October 2, 2013) - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball lost 3-0 to Susquehanna University in a non-conference contest on Wednesday evening at Beaver Community Center. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions (6-6) fell by game scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-13.

Sophia Zhang had a team-high eight kills, followed by Cassidy Schultz with five. Morgan Buterbaugh collected 22 digs and Schultz added 12.

The Crusaders (18-4) were led by Jessica Holm (11 kills) and Erin Byrne (10 kills) Maggie O'Hearn handed out a contest-high 34 assists, while Sarah Paluck had 19 digs.

The Nittany Lions will host the NEAC South Division pool play this upcoming Friday and Saturday. They face Lancaster Bible College (2 p.m.) and Penn State Abington (4 p.m.) on Friday, followed by Gallaudet University (10 a.m.) and the College of Saint Elizabeth (2 p.m.) on Saturday afternoon.
