Men's soccer win streak halted by Keuka College

READING, PA (October 19, 2013) - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 setback to Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions, who won their last two matches, made a late push, but could not claw back against the Storm.

Trailing 3-0 late in the second half, Tyler Welch inserted a perfect pass from just inside midfield that Matt Wagner headed over the keeper's head to cut the deficit to two goals. Just over a minute later, Connor Mastricola sent a corner kick to the front of the box that Wagner headed, but the ball sailed just inches over the cross bar.

The Storm carried a 1-0 lead into the intermission and tacked on two goals to pad their lead in the second half.

Darrell Geisinger recorded three saves and Justin Dantas made a defensive save in the second half.

Keuka outshot Berks by a 15-11 margin and held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The men's and women's teams hosted their second annual Pink Game fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. The two teams combined to raise $249.56 which will benefit the Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County this afternoon.

The Nittany Lions will finish off their NEAC schedule when they host Wells College on Sunday, October 19 at 12 p.m.
