The Nittany Lions, who improved to 12-2-1 overall and 9-0 in the conference, clinched a first-round bye in the NEAC Championship. Berks can clinch the regular-season championship and host the postseason tournament with a victory in one of next weekend's matches.

Simone Stewart registered three goals and two assists to give her the team-lead in points scored with 38. Dana Sarcinello also netted a pair of scores to raise her conference lead in goals to 15.

Jen Kessler and Taylor Schwartz both added a goal and an assist. Cristen French, Emily Rumpf, and Steph Martin all found the back of the net, while Ellie McKinstry recorded an assist.

The defensive unit of Rumpf, Melissa Bennett, and Katie Warner along with the strong play at midfield did not allow a single shot by the Bison. Kristin Starke, Amanda Garber, and Morgan Shade provided valuable minutes off the bench. Savannah Cramer and Sarah Elmontacir shared time in goal to pick up the seventh shutout of the season.

The Nittany Lions will host the University of Scranton in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, October 16 at 3:30 p.m.
