READING, PA (December 8, 2012) - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped an 81-55 decision to Penn State Harrisburg in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Division contest on Saturday afternoon at Beaver Community Center. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions (1-6, 1-1 NEAC South) trailed 44-23 at halftime and were unable to dig out of the deficit due to strong shooting by Penn State Harrisburg. PSH shot 13-for-28 in the second half en route to 43.8% shooting for the game. They also recorded seven 3-pointers and were 18-for-24 at the free throw line.

Berks had four players finish in with 11 points or more, including Nichole Young-Trapp, who notched the first double-double of her collegiate career. She recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds, which are both season-high for the freshman forward. Keisha Robinson and Sherrie Satchel tied for the team lead in points scored with 13. Robinson also picked up eight boards, six steals, and five assists. Kellie Wilson continued her strong offensive output with an 11 point performance. In the last three games, Wilson has compiled 15 field goals and an average of 14.7 points per game.

Mercedes Copeland and Lucky Snypse tied for the Harrisburg lead with 15 points apiece. Snypse also added seven rebounds and two blocked shots. Kiara Carter recorded eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals in only 12 minutes of play.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Bryn Mawr College for a non-conference game on Tuesday, December 11 at 7 p.m.
