Second half surge leads Nittany Lions to win over Bryn Mawr

BRYN MAWR, PA (December 11, 2012) – Kellie Wilson continued her hot shooting and Keisha Robinson turned in an amazing all-around performance to lead the Penn State Berks women's basketball team to a 60-45 victory over Bryn Mawr College on Tuesday night. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions went on a 21-5 run over the final 10 minutes of play to earn their second win of the season. During that stretch, Wilson recorded 13 of her career-high 19 points. She gave Berks a comfortable lead by tallying 10 consecutive points over a minute stretch.

Wilson has established a new career-high in points scored during three of the Nittany Lions last four games. She tallied 16 points last Monday against Rosemont College and followed it up with 17 in a conference win over Gallaudet University. The junior guard, who played all 40 minutes in tonight's contest, shot 8-of-15 from the field (53.3%). Wilson has reached double-figures in each of the last four contests, after only reaching that high twice in her two previous seasons.

Robinson finished with nine points, but it was her contributions in the other facets of the game that were impressive. The senior guard had a career-high 14 rebounds and matched her personal-high in assists with six. Robinson also registered a game-high six steals.

Fatima Rone matched a season-high in points (11) and rebounds (7), while setting a career-mark with five steals. Brittney Mitchell knocked down three 3-pointers to finish with a career best nine points. Sophomore Sherrie Satchel recorded eight points, 12 boards, and three steals.

Nicolette Parmese had a game-high 20 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Ashlee Williams and Liandra Curtis each chipped in 10 points.

The Nittany Lions finished off the fall portion of their schedule and will return to action on Friday, January 4 against Wells College at 6 p.m. in Beaver Community Center.
