Nittany Lions cruise to 3-0 sweep over Frostburg State



READING, PA (October 16, 2012) - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team defeated Frostburg State University, 3-0, in a non-conference tilt on Tuesday evening at Beaver Community Center. The Nittany Lions won by a score of 25-20 in all three games. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions picked up their ninth win in the last 10 games to improve their overall record to 15-8. During that stretch, they have won by a score of 3-0 in eight of the contests.

Freshman Cassidy Schultz led the Berks attack with 12 kills, one shy of her season-high recorded in a win over Alvernia University. Schultz recorded four of the Nittany Lions six service aces. Caitlin Scroger added nine kills and a career-high four solo blocks. Maria Pavone and Kayla Mosser each chipped five kills.

Courtney Lucarelli finished with a contest-high 15 digs, followed by VICTORIA YOUNG with 12. Abby Musselman handed out 30 assists.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Lancaster Bible College for the final set of NEAC matches this season. They will face SUNYIT on Friday at 5 p.m. and finish off the weekend on Saturday against Wells College (9 a.m.) and Morrisville State College (3 p.m.)
