Alesi's goal not enough in loss to Fighting Tigers

COBLESKILL, N.Y. (September 25, 2011) - ZACHARY ALESI scored his second goal of the season, but SUNY Cobleskill won the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match by a score of 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Fighting Tigers tallied two goals late in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the intermission. Alesi recorded an unassisted goal one minute, 48 seconds into the second period to slice the lead in half. SUNY Cobleskill built a 3-1 cushion with the final score in the 65th minute.

JONATHAN JABLONKA had five saves in goal for the Nittany Lions, while Patrick Cobane made nine stops to earn the victory.

Cobleskill outshot Berks 20-16 and also held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Nittany Lions will be off until Tuesday, October 3 when they host Rosemont College. The match will begin at 4 p.m.
