LANCASTER, PA (September 15, 2011) - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team lost 5-0 on the road to Lancaster Bible College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Thursday afternoon.
The Chargers (1-2-1, 1-1-1) exploded for four first half goals to take complete control of the match heading into intermission. They outshot the Nittany Lions (0-7, 0-3 NEAC) 26-6 and held an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Jonathan Jablonka recorded 10 saves in goal. It was the second time this season and fifth time in Jablonka's career that he reached double-digits in saves.
Logan Langseth had two shots on goal, while SEKOU KONNEH and EVAN STEIGERWALT each had one.
Jarrod Bergey and Tim Landis each made two stops in goal to combine for the shutout. Taylor Dooley scored the first three goals of the match. Two of the scores were unassisted and one came off of a penalty kick.
The Nittany Lions will travel to Albright on Tuesday, September 20 for a 7 p.m. contest.
