READING, PA (November 28, 2011) - The Penn State Berks women's basketball dropped a 79-46 home decision to Stevenson University on Monday evening at Beaver Community Center.

Shakiyla Stone scored 11 of her game-high 15 points in the first half. She finished 6-for-15 from the floor, including 2-for-5 from beyond the arc. Freshman Kaelin Reed registered a season-high 10 points and had a contest-high three blocked shots.

Junior Fatima Rone again came off the bench to give the Nittany LIons some quality minutes. The forward registered seven points - three from the free throw line - and six rebounds. Emily Pufnock also brought down six boards to tie Rone for the team lead.

The Mustangs (4-2) jumped out to a 49-24 lead heading into the halftime intermission behind the hot shooting of Sam Murray, who netted all 10 of her points in the opening half. Amanda Craig led Stevenson with 12, while Rayshell Parker had a game-high eight rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will begin North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play with an away contest at Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, December 3. The game is set for a 2 p.m. start time.
