Men's soccer fall in NEAC match to Abington

ABINGTON, PA (October 15, 2011) - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team fell, 3-0, to Penn State Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Abington offense kept Jonathan Jablonka busy all contest with 33 shots, 13 of which were on goal. Jablonka, who is second in the nation with 125 saves, made 10 stops. It was the sixth time this season Jablonka recorded double-digit saves.

Evan Steigerwalt had the only Berks shot on goal, but it was saved by Dan Carmack.

Alex Marti opened up the scoring with an unassisted goal 2:28 into the contest. Marco Paparo and Julian Ward each recorded goals.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Gallaudet University on Friday, October 21 at 5:30 p.m.
