READING, PA (September 9, 2010) – GLENDA NGO had nine service aces and dished out 18 assists to lead the Penn State Berks women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Rosemont College on Thursday evening.
Playing for the first time in front their home crowd at Beaver Community Center, the Berks women won by set scores of 25-9, 25-5 and 25-12 to improve to 2-0 for the season. Overall, the Nittany Lions recorded 26 service aces, while collecting 21 kills and making only four errors.
The Ravens were led on offense by Karen Boyle's game-high five kills. Christa Bednarek led the squad with six assists.
The Berks women will return to action for a tri-match on Saturday, beginning with Alvernia at noon and finishing with host Cedar Crest at 2 p.m. Rosemont will also have a double dip on Saturday, taking on Philadelphia Bible and Manhattanville.
