Career: Sweeney was the first member of the Penn State Berks women’s volleyball team to play four seasons. She finishes her magnificent career ranked among the top five in nearly every statistical category. Sweeney is the all-time leader in attacks (2156), service aces (135), sets played (376), and matches played (113). She ranks second in school-history in kills (574) and points scored (746.5). Sweeney is fourth all-time at Berks with 43 block assists and 59 total blocks.
2012: Played in all 29 matches and appeared in 92 sets as a senior…finished fifth on the team with 102 kills…led the Nittany Lions with 39 service aces…recorded 17 total blocks (3 solo, 14 assist)…collected 77 digs and 43 assists.
2011: Played in all 30 contests and appeared in 91 sets as a junior…finished fourth on the team with 126 kills, giving her 100-plus in each season at Berks…recorded a season-high 11 kills against SUNY IT…her 29 service aces were third most on the team...collected 23 assists, 29 aces and 90 digs…tied for third with 18 total blocks.
2010: Was one of four players with 200 kills or more, as she finished her sophomore season with 210 kills… ranked fourth on the team in digs (176), aces (34), block assists (14) and total blocks (20).
