AURORA, NY (September 11, 2010) - The Penn State men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Wells College in the North East Athletic Conference (NEAC) opener on Saturday afternoon.
The win improves Wells to 3-2 overall, while Berks falls to 0-4 this season.
The Express took an early lead with back-to-back goals by Delroy Roberts, the first was assisted by Patrick Sodums. Justin Rigney had an unassisted goal to take a three goal advantage into the break. The final tally was a third straight unassisted goal, this one coming of the foot of Patrick O'Callaghan.
The Nittany Lions managed five shots on goal, but were unable to beat CJ Bayly or Aaron Brody. For Berks, Jonathan Martin made three saves and JONATHAN JABLONKA made two saves without surrendering a goal.
Wells held the advantage in both shots (15 to 12) and corner kicks (4 to 2).
Penn State Berks will return to action on Sunday with a conference tilt at Keuka beginning at 3 p.m.
