READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team fell 90-71 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference contest against SUNYIT on Saturday afternoon at Beaver Community Center.
The loss drops the Nittany Lions to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the NEAC, while the Wildcats improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
The Wildcats jumped out to 10-0 lead in the first two minutes and stretched its lead to 55-32 going into the half.
Shakiyla Stone made three 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 15 points. She also led the Lions with six rebounds and five steals. Steph Binder tallied nine of her 12 points in the second half. Dorian Bishop chipped in 10 points to round out the Nittany Lions in double-figures.
The Wildcats were paced by Tamara Williams 18 points. Sarah Couvillon recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lions will host SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday, December 5 at 1 p.m. in Beaver Community Center.
