READING, PA (October 23, 2010) - ALYSSA SCHEIDT scored four goals to lead the Penn State Berks women's soccer team to a 7-1 win over Gallaudet University in Saturday afternoon's North Eastern Athletic Conference match.
Berks improved to 9-8 overall and 8-2 in the NEAC. The match marked the regular season home finale. Berks could host an NEAC playoff game if it finishes as the No. 3 or 4 seed.
Scheidt tallied the first four goals for the Lions, including three within the first 11 minutes, 16 seconds. Scheidt had four goals on Thursday against Wilson and the third time this season she scored at least four goals.
Taylor Kreider had a goal in the second half to raise her season total to 24. Scheidt upped her total to 21. KALEE STINE got into the scoring action with a header for her first goal of the season.
Kreider provided assists on two of Scheidt's scores and LYNDSAY NAUGHTON had an assist on Kreider's goal.
The women will travel to Cedar Crest for a 4 p.m. non-conference contest on Tuesday, October 26.
