Steve Small

Steve Small will enter his first season as the Penn State Berks Head Men's Soccer Coach in 2025-26. 

Small brings over 20 years of collegiate coaching experience to the program. He began his coaching career at Millersville University, serving as an assistant coach, helping the Marauders win a PSAC Conference Championship, 4 Conference Finals and reach the NCAA Division II Semi-Finals. Small then took over as the head coach at Slippery Rock University, leading the program for two seasons.
Small has also spent a significant amount of time coaching in NCAA Division III. He joined the Elizabethtown College Men's Soccer coaching staff in 2018, working as an assistant coach for five seasons, helping the Blue Jays win the 2018 Landmark Conference Championship and make two NCAA Tournament appearances. Most recently, Small was a part of the Alvernia Women's Soccer Coaching Staff, where he helped lead them to their best record since 2017.

Small graduated from DeSales University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. He is also currently the head coach of the U19 PA Classics Reading Academy Eclipse team and assistant coach with Reading United A.C. WPSL Women’s team.
