Career: Tom Smith will go down as one of the best players to put on a Penn State Berks uniform. The four-year standout became just the second player in school-history to reach 1,000 career points in a game against Alvernia University. Smith then became the all-time leading scoring in a game against Keuka College, a game in which he was honored with Senior Day festivities. He has since raised his scoring total to 1,337 points. Smith is also the career leader in field goal made (533), field goal percentage (52.9), free throws made (256), and rebounds (707). He ranks second in scoring average (13.4), games played (100), games started (82), and minutes (2573). Smith ranks among the top-10 in assists (179) and blocked shots (68). He owns the top four spots for steals in a single-season, with his 68 in the 2010-11 season leading the category. Smith’s 19 career double-doubles are the most in program-history.

2013-14: Was one of three players to appear and start in all 26 contests…was second on the team with 377 points and a 14.5 scoring average…reached double figures in scoring in 21 contests, including eight with 20 or more points…his 29 points against Morrisville State College was tied for the 10th most in a game in program history…led the team in rebounds (178), rebounds per game (6.8), and steals (52)…his 19 blocked shots were second most, while his 44 assists ranked third…recorded six double-doubles…had a career-high 14 rebounds against Lancaster Bible College.

2012-13: Played in all 25 games and made 18 starts as a junior…was an All-NEAC First Team selection…led the Nittany Lions in points scored (356), scoring average (14.2), field goals (144), field goal percentage (56.7%), free throws made (68), rebounds (175), rebounds per game (7.0), and steals (53)…his 356 points and 14.2 scoring average are both the third most in a single-season in program history…his field goals and field goal percentage were both the second best in a season at Berks, while his steal total was the third most…was second on the team with 13 blocked shots and his 58 assists were the fourth most…helped the Nittany Lions clinch their first division title with his career-high 31 points in a win over Gallaudet University in the regular-season finale…his 31 points were the third most in a game in school history…reached double figures in scoring 19 times and recorded three double-doubles.

2011-12: Started in 20 of the 24 contests that he appeared in as a sophomore…led the team in points (291), scoring average (12.1) and field goals made (121) for the second straight year…shot 56.0% from the floor, which was second on the team and ranked the second highest for a season in school history…was 10-for-10 shooting from the floor in a win over Lancaster Bible College…second on the team with 178 rebounds and a 7.4 rebounds per game average…led the team with 56 steals and ranked among the top in blocked shots (18) and assists (37).

2010-11: Played in all 25 contests and started in 18 games as a freshman…led the team in points (313), scoring average (12.5), field goals made (120), field goals attempted (253), rebounds (176), free throws made (73), free throws attempted (119),  steals (68) and blocks (18)…set a single-season record with his 68 steals…finished second on the squad with a 47.4% shooting from the floor.
