Jackie Wise completed his second year as the men's basketball assistant coach in the 2017-18 season.
The 2017-18 squad finished the year with an overall record of 2-22 and went 2-10 in NEAC South Division play. The team finished among the top-five in program history in scoring average (75.6), field goal percentage (43.0%), 3-pointers made (205), and assists (374).
In the 2016-17 season, the Nittany Lions had an overall record of 6-18 and went 6-14 in NEAC action. The team scored 1957 points and averaged 81.5 points per game, which both rank as the second best in a season in program history. The team set the school record for 3-pointers made (228), free throws made (367), and free-three percentage (72.2). The Nittany Lions had one player earn All-NEAC Second Team honors (Baba Waples).
