Career: Hartman has established himself as one of the top hitters and pitchers to play for Penn State Berks. After three season, Hartman ranks in the top-five all-time in hits (119), batting average (.337), at-bats (353), doubles (27), home runs (6), slugging percentage (.470), on-base percentage (.430), and total bases (166). He ranks among the top-10 in RBI (64) and runs scored (61). On the mound, Hartman ranks in the top-10 in program history for ERA (3.92), innings pitched (82.2), appearances (26), wins (8), and saves (2). He is the tied for the school record with two shutouts, while his .261 batting average against and 86 strikeouts are both the third best.

2013: Turned in a strong performance at the plate and from the mound in his junior season...played in 34 games and made 33 starts...batted .328 (40-for-122) with seven doubles, one triple, and one home run...recorded 22 RBI, 20 runs scored, 15 walks, and two stolen bases...started six games on the mound and made eight relief appearances...was 6-5 with two saves and a 2.97 ERA...threw four complete games, two of which were shutouts...struck out 63 batters in 60.2 innings of work...he ranked among the top five in the NEAC for ERA, strikeouts, strikeouts per game average, wins, saves, and complete games...earned NEAC Tournament MVP honors after his strong pitching performance...he tossed a complete-game, shutout in a 7-0 win over Keuka College in the opener and threw 6.0 innings of relief in an 8-5 11-inning win over SUNYIT in the NEAC Championship...earned All-NEAC First Team honors for the second time in his career.

2012: Was the only member of the team to start in and play all 40 games…was an All-NEAC First Team selection…led the team in hits (52), RBI (36), doubles (15), home runs (4), total bases (79), and slugging percentage (.556)…his .366 batting average and 29 runs scored were second most on the team…recorded 18 multi-hit games and had a season-high nine game hitting streak…made two starts and appeared in seven games on the mound…was 2-0 with a 2.03 ERA in 13.1 innings of work…did not allow a run in his first 10.0 innings pitched…notched 16 strikeouts...all of the outs he recorded were by strikeout against SUNYIT and Gallaudet University…combined with Kevin Heilman for 14 strikeouts against SUNYIT, which is a single-game team record.
