Middletown, PA- The Penn St. Berks Baseball Team had their run in the United East Championship Tournament come to an end as they dropped two games to #2 Penn State Harrisburg. Berks fell by a score of 15-1 in game one before losing game two by a score of 12-2.

The Lions (10-29 Overall, 6-10 UE) were able to get off to a good start in game one, scoring in the top of the first inning.
Andrew Seibert got things going, driving a double into right field to put a runner in scoring position.
Isaiah Dull reached base on an error, allowing Seibert to score, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead.

Harrisburg (31-9-1 Overall, 12-4 UE) responded immediately, plating a run in the first and second innings, taking a 2-1 lead. Harrisburg then broke the game open, scoring five runs in the third inning and four runs in the fourth inning to take a commanding 11-1. Berks struggled to get base runners, not getting a runner in scoring position until the top of the sixth inning when Seibert recorded another double into right field. Harrisburg tacked on four more runs late in the game, securing a 15-1 victory.

Berks needed to win game two to keep their season alive and force a game three. The Lions once again scored in the top of the first inning.
Landon Eyster drew a walk and advanced to second on a balk. Later in the inning, Eyster advanced to third and then scored on a single by
Landon Reyes. Harrisburg once again responded, scoring four total runs in the first two innings to take a 4-1 lead.

The Lions tried to climb back in the game in the third inning. Seibert continued his big day, crushing a solo home run over the left center field fence, bringing Berks back within two runs. Starting pitcher
Justin Hefner, kept Harrisburg off the board in the next two innings, keeping Berks within striking distance.

Harrisburg broke through in the fifth inning, scoring two runs and adding three more in the sixth inning, taking a commanding 9-2 lead. Berks could not pull off a late rally, eventually falling 12-2 to bring their season to a close.
