READING, Pa. – The Penn State Berks men's soccer team opened its 2024 season on Friday afternoon at crosstown-rival Albright. Albright earned a 4-0 victory.
Albright got off to a fast start, scoring twice in the first 2:11. Christian Bowles scored in the second minute, and Martin Ramsey followed in the third minute with a penalty kick tally.
Lucas Capelini scored for Albright in the 36th minute, and Bowles netted his second goal to round out the scoring in the 74th minute.
For Berks, Gavin Dai and Jake Fought paced the offense with two shots apiece. Ethan Brazier and Josh Martin split the game in goal, each making two saves in their respective halves.
Berks returns to action on Sunday at Ursinus at 3 p.m.
