Chambersburg, PA- The Penn St. Berks Men's Basketball Team fell in their road conference match-up with Wilson College, dropping the road tilt by a score of 77-52 on Wednesday, Dec. 4.
The Lions (0-8 Overall, 0-2 UE) got on the board first, with
Jaedon Mast knocking down a pull up jump start. Both teams struggled to score with Wilson (2-5 Overall, 1-1 UE) holding a 6-3 lead after five minutes of game play.
Josh Mingledolph tried to spark the offense, finishing a contested layup in the paint. Unfortunately, the Lions offensive struggled continued as the Pheonix built a 27-8 lead.
Jaedon Mast halted Wilson's run, drilling his first 3-pointer of the game.
Andre Ballard and Mingledolph each scored down the stretch, but Berks trailed 42-20 at the break.
Mast attempted to get the Lions offense going in the second half, drilling an early 3-pointer. Berks could not capitalize, trailing by as many as 33 points midway through the half. The Lions turned to their bench for a spark.
Marquis Ferreira and
Ho Owen Yeung scored to cut down the deficit. The Lions could not get within striking distance, falling 77-52.
Berks was led by Mast who scored 13 points, hitting three times from beyond the arc. Mingledolph and Ballard led the team in rebounds, collecting seven loose balls each. Â Â
WHO'S NEXT
The Lions return home to take on Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, Dec. 4. The tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
