Penn St. Berks and the Berks Athletic Department are pleased to announce Seth Goodyear has been hired as the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information & Compliance.

Goodyear joins the Berks Athletic Department after serving as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletic Communications at Notre Dame of Maryland University from November 2022 to October 2024. Goodyear oversaw 13 athletic teams at NDMU and served as an assistant softball coach. Goodyear has had experience at several schools in the United East Conference, working as the Athletic Communications Director at Lancaster Bible College from August 2021 to June 2022. Prior to his time at Lancaster Bible, Goodyear worked as the Sports Information Director at Franciscan University and the Assistant Sports Information Director at Penn State Harrisburg.

"I am really excited to join the Penn St. Berks Athletic Department," Goodyear said. "The athletic department has incredible potential for growth along with an awesome group of diverse student-athletes, which are extremely important elements to building a successful athletic program. I believe I can help push the program forward and I can't wait to see where the future will take us."

Goodyear will oversee all aspects of the sports information office including the university's athletic website and the athletic social media pages. In addition, he will lead the strategic direction for the campus's compliance office pertaining to all matter related to NCAA, United East and institutional policies, procedures and rules.

Director of Athletics, Barry Beal said he and the entire athletic department were excited about the inclusion of Goodyear.

"Seth brings great energy and a veteran presence to our department," Beal said. "He is clearly passionate about what he does, and with his skill set and experiences, he will be a key element in the growth and future of our athletic department."
