READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 setback to Moravian University in the Nittany Lions home opener on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (1-1) jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Lauren LeKites crossed the ball inside the box and Carly Fox sent it into the far right corner for her first collegiate goal just seven minutes into the first half.

After the goal, the Greyhounds outshot Berks by a 5-1 margin for the remainder of the first half. But neither side was able to find the back of the net, as Berks carried a 1-0 lead into the break.

Moravian came out of the intermission with energy and were able to recorded three corner kicks and two shots over the first two minutes. They added two more corners in the 58th and 59th minutes, but again were kept off the scoreboard. Moravian was able to knot the contest at 1-all when Lindsay Mullin dribbled from midfield all the way to the end line and beat the keeper inside the right post.

Mullin recorded the game-winning tally in the 81st minute and were able to hang on the rest of the way to secure the win.

Overall, the Greyhounds outshot Berks by a 9-6 margin (5-4 on goal) and the visitors held a 5-3 advantage on corner kicks.
