Women's tennis drops home match to LBC

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Lancaster Bible College in an United East contest on Tuesday afternoon at the Gring's Mill Tennis Courts.

The Chargers took two of the three doubles matches to jump out to an early 2-1 lead. The No. 2 tandem of Alyssa Love and Bailey Rocker were edged 8-3, while Sam Hagenbush and Katie Davis were topped 8-4 in the third flight. Bel Clayton and Sallay Thollie were 8-7 winners at top doubles after taking the tiebreaker by a 7-2 margin.

In singles action, Clayton picked up a 6-2, 6-3 victory at the No. 1 spot, while Rocker emerged with the victory in a three-set thriller by a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 count.

The Nittany Lions will wrap up the season with a non-conference contest against Clarks Summit University on Friday, April 21 at 1 p.m. The men's and women's tennis teams will join baseball and softball in hosting their Pink Game fundraiser on Friday.
