Women's tennis falls to Hood

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Hood College in the Nittany Lions spring home opener on Sunday afternoon at Gring's Mill Tennis Courts.

The Blazers won all three of the doubles bouts to jump out to a 3-0 lead. In singles play, Bel Clayton was a 6-4, 6-4 winner in the No. 1 spot. Katie Davis earned the Nittany Lions other point after a 6-4, 6-2 triumph out of the sixth spot. Alyssa Love (No. 3) battled hard, but was topped 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) by Cori Mark. Bailey Rocker (No. 4) also put up a fight, but was topped by a 7-5, 6-1 margin.

The Nittany Lions will travel to DeSales University for a no-conference contest on Thursday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m.
