WBB closes out season at Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team closed out the 2022-23 season with a 92-47 setback to Penn State Harrisburg in United East action on Saturday afternoon.

Hayley Mattis shot 7-of-13 from the field to finish with a team-high 15 points to go along with four rebounds. Hailey Miller chipped in 10 points, seven boards, three steals, and two assists, while Jalyn Hann had eight points and a team-best 10 rebounds. Lyla Spencer chipped in six points, six boards, and three assists, Sam Hagenbush finished with six points and four boards.

Giahny Correa led Harrisburg with 17 points, while Ciani Redd-Howard had 13 and Macy Carroll added 11. Kendis Butler recorded a team-best eight rebounds, five steals, and five assists.

In her freshman campaign, Miller led the Nittany Lions in points (244), scoring average (11.1), rebounds (156), rebounds per game (7.1), assists (2.7), steals (2.2), and minutes per game (31.8). She recorded a team-high six doubles-doubles. Miller notched 10 or more points on 12 occasions, including a career-high 23 points against Penn College in the Nittany Lions home finale.

Spencer, the lone senior on the team, averaged 9.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and drained a team-high 25 3-pointers this season. Hann ranked third on the team in scoring average (7.9) and rebounds (6.6), while Mattis followed with 6.9 points per game and Morgan Kline with 6.0 rebounds per game.
