MBB topped by McDaniel on the road

WESTMINSTER, MD - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team fell to McDaniel College, 78-51, in the Nittany Lions fall semester finale on Friday night.

The Nittany Lions trailed 49-27 at halftime, but were able to lower their deficit to 12 points (53-41) with 14:51 remaining in the second half. That is as close as the Green Terror would allow them to get the rest of the way.

Andre Ballard had a team-high 15 points and eight rebounds, while Marquise Ferreira followed with 13 points and Josh Mingledolph chipped in 10.

Jonas Suneta led McDaniel with 29 points, followed by Chuck Contee with 17. Contee also recorded a game-high 10 boards and six assists.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a trip to Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday, January 3 at 3 p.m.
