Men's soccer downs Wells on the road

AURORA, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team defeated Wells College, 9-1, in an United East contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improve to 2-5-1 on the season and 1-1 in the United East, while the Express fall to 0-8 this fall and 0-3 in the conference.

Berks tallied seven goals in the first half and tacked on two more in the second period. Alex Chamorro netted a hat trick, while Ryan Miller and Shane Gleason both tallied a pair of goals. Mark Pirrone and Thomas Andress both found the back of the net. Pirrone recorded two assists, while Miller, Owen Love, and Colin Plunkett all had one.

Ethan Brazier made one save in net, while his counterpart Sean Nemeth finished with 15 stops.

The Nittany Lions will host Arcadia University in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, September 28 at 7 p.m.
