Men's tennis drops thriller to Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team was narrowly edged, 5-4, on the road to Muhlenberg College in non-conference action on Friday afternoon.

Berks took a 2-1 in doubles play after an 8-4 wins by the No. 2 team (Cole Epting/Daniel Popovici) and No. 3 duo (Jonathan Morello/Jack Filip).

In singles action, Anthony Chan came out on top in a thriller at the No. 2 spot. The freshman won 7-5 in the first set and then won the tiebreak 7-5 for a 7-6 triumph in the second set. Morello downed his opponent, 6-3, 6-1 for a win at fifth singles.

The Nittany Lions will host West Chester University on Tuesday, March 29 at 3:30 p.m.
