MBB battles Mustangs in home finale

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team suffered an 88-75 setback to SUNY Morrisville in an United East contest on Tuesday night.

The Nittany Lions led 42-30 at halftime, but the Mustangs battled back and took a 56-55 before the two teams were even at 58-all. Berks trailed by just one point (69-68) with 4:11 remaining, but the Mustangs were able to secure the win at the foul line down the stretch.

Brody Bolyn recorded a season-high in points with 17 after shooting 7-of-12 from the field and 3-for-4 at the foul line. The freshman center also notched eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in 31 minutes of action. Ladan Graves finished one off his career-high after pouring in 16 points, followed by Monty Farmer with 12 points. Hassan Koroma added 11 points and seven boards, Samuel Toso chipped in eight points.

Michael Litchfield led the Mustangs with 29 points, followed by Jon Brennan with 16. Jordan Coard chipped in 12 points and pulled down a game-high 11 boards.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Gallaudet University for an United East contest on Friday, February 18 at 5 p.m.
