Men's soccer falls to SUNY Morrisville in season finale

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team ended the 2022 season with a 2-0 setback on the road to SUNY Morrisville in United East action on Saturday night.

The contest was scoreless for the majority of the first half until an own goal by Berks gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead just 17 seconds before intermission. The second half played out in a similar fashion before SUNY Morrisville tacked on another score in the 84th minute.

Shane Gleason had three shots, two on goal, while Ashy Deery also put a pair of shots on target, but neither was able to find the back of the net.

Ethan Brazier finished with three saves in net, while the Mustangs had three stops by Caleb Lucero and one defensive save.

The Nittany Lions finish the season 5-12-1 overall and 3-5 in the United East. The team will bid farewell to seniors Alex Blatt and Ash Deery, who have both been with the program since 2019.
