MBB falls in first action of the new year

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team saw its first action of the new year after a 29 day lay off. In the return to play, Berks dropped a 96-72 decision to Penn State York on Wednesday afternoon.

Jared Houck again led the Nittany Lions in scoring, finishing with 21 points to go along with three assists and two steals. Grant Watson had a season-high in points (14) and rebounds (8), while also chipping in two steals and a blocked shot. Aaron Lane also enjoyed a career-high with 12 points, two boards, and two assists, while Brody Bolyn finished with a season-best nine points. Xavian Rodriguez recorded six points, eight rebounds, five assists, four blocks and four steals. Brian Felix knocked down a pair of 3-pointers to finish with six points and a steal.

Michael Coleman led York with 21 points, followed by Tarajae Davis with 15 points, seven boards, and four assists.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Wells College on Saturday, January 8 at 1 p.m.
