Nittany Lions fall to Hood on the road

FREDERICK, MD - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped a 68-28 decision on the road to Hood College in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.

Berks trailed 31-19 at halftime, but the Blazers outscored the Nittany Lions 37-9 in the second half to put the game out of reach.

Katie Armstrong had seven points, nine rebounds, and three steals, while Lydia Cacciola chipped in five points and six boards. Emily Clapper, Katie Davis, and Abby Ackley all finished with four points. Clapper, Davis, and Sam Hagenbush each recorded five rebounds.

Morgan Anderson led the Blazers with 25 points and six steals, while Marlise Newson chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds,

The Nittany Lions will host Keystone College in a non-conference contest on Monday, November 22 at 7 p.m.
